Weezer - Love music has never sounded so nerdy!

Weezer was introduced to me by my brothers during my primary school years. They are a rock band formed in California in the year 1992. Their music aims at teenagers and those who are willing to have fun! Originally, the band consisted of lead singer and guitarist, Rivers Cuomo, back vocalist and guitarist, Brian Bell, bassist and back vocalist, Matt Sharp and drummer Patrick Wilson.

Their lineup changed a few times with bassists Mikey Welsh during their "Green Album" period. Mikey Welsh left to pursue arts and was replaced by Scott Shriner. A sad news broke in 2011 when Mikey Welsh passed away due to a drug overdose.

What I truly enjoy about Weezer's materials is that the lyrics are smart and the music composition especially the guitar solos are masterpieces. For example, take the song "Say It Ain't So" and listen to the guitar solo.

This song is about Rivers' stepfather who left him when he was younger. He expresses his anger through the chorus really well. I bet you will become addicted with the guitar solo.

They have produced 10 great albums which are the "Blue Album" , "Pinkerton", "Green Album", "Maladroit", "Make Believe", "Red Album", "Raditude", "Hurley", "Death to False Metal" and "Everything will be alright in the end". Among all their albums, I enjoy listening to the Blue Album and Pinkerton as these two have marked the golden era for Weezer.

Overall, I truly enjoy Weezer's cool music and especially the lead singer's nerdy look. He is the coolest nerdy guy I have ever seen! Go Rivers! Go Weezer!
