Slowdive - Dive into a deep slumber

Slowdive is one of the best shoegazer bands there ever was. Shoegazing is an ambient genre of music or also known as Dream Pop. I have been listening to Slowdive for the past 2 months. Their sound just brings me into a peaceful new environment like I've never felt before.

Slowdive was formed in 1989 and they're from Reading, Berkshire. These five Brits have been experimenting with loads of sound effects which can produce ambient music. Slowdive's sound is really something different! Try listening to the calmness in "When the Sun Hits". You can be mesmerized by the guitar work and the sweet voices of the singers.

I highly recommend Slowdive to people who really like relaxing music to enjoy to. Listening to their songs on a rainy or windy day is absolutely soothing.

I have tried to play their songs on guitar and I can confirm that the chord progressions of theirs are quite unique. I gained a lot of new knowledge on the chords used in the Shoegaze genre. Besides, Shoegaze music requires the player to use a lot of effect pedals in order to get that sensational ambient aura or feeling. However, I truly enjoy playing Shoegaze music like some of Slowdive's material.
